Overall:

Great hospital, Doctors are very helpful and very keen on teaching.

Has decent food and services.

White coat laundry is available on B1 (elevator next to locker room)

Locker rooms on the Ground floor.

Cafeteria on the 8th floor, Monday’s 12:30 PM lunch and lecture series.

Dr’s lounge on the 1st floor, has computers and coffee machine you can use. Usually empty.

Dr Aman - Ped neuro (Mon)

Dr Balaji - Ped gastro (Tues)

Dr Siham - Ped cardio (Wed)

Dr Mudit (neonatology)

Dr Vidya (ped endo) is in charge of the peds students

Wards usually start at 8AM on the 5th floor.

Spend time in the ward, OPD/emergency.

Dr Naji is ped surgeon, he is happy to have you in his surgeries. Also talk to him about spending time with him, he is very keen on teaching and will teach you lots of important things.

Spend time with the specialists in the ED, lots of things to learn.

Take the history and physical there before the specialist does.

You can start some days late, I would recommend so to spend more time in the ED and see more patients and presentations.

Recommended resources:

First 6 weeks are general pediatrics (5th floor wards 1st floor OPD) and the last 2 weeks are neonatology (6th floor).

There is no need to learn OBGYN stuff, comes as you go.
